About me...
Jen Pogacic (nee Drummond) was an animal lover from an early age and has been riding and owning horses for over 23 years. Most recently she owned ‘Nigel’ a 16.2hh Irish Draught X Selle Français (by Feu Follet). Jennie and Nigel competed in the Open classes at Pony Club Area Level competitions in the disciplines of Eventing and Showjumping and were also placed in Pre-Novice British Eventing events and Elementary British Dressage classes. They were on the winning Open team at Pony Club Area Dressage in 2000, that went on to become reserve champions at the Pony Club Championships.
The academic qualifications Jen has obtained include an honours degree in Equine Science from Hartpury College, in 2001. She then went on to study at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic for a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Manipulation (validated by the University of Wales) and graduated in 2004. Since then, Jen has also achieved her BHSAI, BHS Stable Managers Certificate, Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory), NVQ A1 Assessors Award and become a BHS Riding and Road Safety Trainer.
Since 2003, Jen has spent time teaching and lecturing in the Equine departments at Guildford College (Merrist Wood Campus), Plumpton College and Chichester College (Brinsbury Campus). But Jen is now enjoying teaching on a freelance basis. Her experience includes teaching at Pony Club Camps, and currently works closely with Chiddingfold Pony Club. Another passion is judging unaffiliated dressage events, particularly for the Pony Club, but Jen has also judged Intro British Eventing classes.
